The Three Kings' night

Good morning ladies!

First of all I would like to apologise for not having posted yesterday but I was all day running like a fool here and there trying to find out all the presents for Epiphany’s day. I’m not the “last minute” type girl but this year… I was late for everything!!

The Three Kings’ night and the Epiphany day are in my opinion the most magical moments of Christmas time. According to catholic religion, centuries ago three Kings visited Jesus child to offer him some presents and show him their respect and appreciation for the child of God. With the years this tradition evolved into a night where good children receive the presents they’ve asked for in a letter addressed to their Majesties. The night of 5th January all the cities organised beautiful parades to welcome the Three Kings and it is very popular that they throw sweets into the crowd.

As I’ve told you before, this is the most magical and especial moment of the whole Christmas time…

Did you know this tradition?
What traditions are typically held in your country during this period?

My nephew is entranced with the Royal Page...

At first he's very shy...

...But finally he agrees to kiss him goodbye!
Some of the presents for my family (I love to wrap them in vibrant colours!!)

...And some of my presents!! Guess what it can be? Unfortunately not the dreamed bag I showed you here... :-(
