Are you a model??

That's exactly the question that asked me a boy about 8 or 9 years old while taking this pictures.
"No honey I'm not" - I answered
"Well... you look like one!! " - and he run away, dying of shame
But it was me who practically died... from laughing!!

Ladies, has something similar ever happened to you while "posing" for your blog??

Review: Elie Saab, the new Eau de Toilette

Imagine that one day you open your mail and see an invitation to try the new Elie Saab Eau de Toilette. At first I thought it was a spam, but when I opened it and read that the Elie Saab team had read this post I wrote one year ago about, that they had liked it a lot  and consequently they offered me to try the new Eau de Toilette, I practically fainted.

(Yes I Know, many of you may be thinking: “The girl is overdone it!! Is just a bottle of perfume!!”  Yes, it’s true. But for my little blog is a major milestone. Come on, he’s one of the best designers of the world!!)

I received the perfume in the next 24 hours but didn’t opened it until yesterday when I finally tried it. The bottle design is just a delight: a shaped facet bloc (that reminds me a diamond) designed by Sylvie de France, with soft and structured lines so as to enhance the maximum brilliance.

Concerning the fragrance (created by the worldwide known perfumer Francis Kurkdjian) it perfectly represents the ElieSaab woman: elegant, sensual and modern. The orange blossom mingled with the gardenia and notes of vetiver and honey rose define an extraordinary composition.

I must confess that at first the scent smelt too intense for my taste, but as minutes passed by the intensity became subtlety and the scent of the orange blossom diminished to enhance the gardenia and the sweet touch of the honey rose.

I'm extremely reluctant to change my perfume (I do believe that our scent define us). But Bvlgari has stopped the production of my favorite one and I don't like the one I’ve got now. So I’ve decided  that from now on this will be MY perfume!! Not only because it smells so good on my skin but also because of what it represents: the sensuality, delicacy, passion and feminity of the Elie Saab woman.

Ladies, did you know the new Elie Saab Eau de Toilette?
I leave you a marvelous  link worth to watch it!!!

Lady with a twist

Yes ladies autumn is here. We’ve left behind the summer, the beach, the holiday, the heat… Well this is not really true ‘cause here in Barcelona the weather is still VERY warm (fortunately changes are expected this week!!).

With this wonderful weather and during a long weekend we have celebrated “Las fiestas de la Merçè” (which is a party held in honour of the city's patron, La Marçè). Barcelona has been full of outdoors activities like the “Antique book fair” (where I bought a beautiful Audrey Hepburn’s coffe table book)  or the local market “Lost and Found” (where I found a Roberto Cavalli’s silk blouse for only 10€!!!!!)

And this is the look I wore to wandering among books: a pussy bow blouse, a cream skirt and a denim vest (to look less like a secretary!!) My Cinderella shoes and my beloved Marc Jacobs were the chic touch.

What do you think ladies?
What have you done this weekend?

Geometric

Geometric prints are one of the trends of the season and, though I don’t feel much attraction to them, when I saw this Prada style blouse at Primark I couldn’t resist the temptation. This time I opted for a simple combination, without taking risks. But I’m sure I’ll try another one a bit more risky!!

Ladies, do you like geometric prints or prefer plain pieces??
Thanks for your comments and visits!!

The train station

I don’t know if you feel the same but I’ve always loved train stations. I found they’re touching (maybe ‘cause I worked for years as an hostess in international trains) and very romantic. Yes they do have a sad air because of the goodbyes, but I prefer to keep only the "re-encounters" in my memory!!

One of my dreams is to travel someday in the Orient-Express ...
Do you also like to trains as much as I do??

Chic Sunday

On Sundays, I usually opt for a comfy a relaxed look except when I’ve got a special event. I then love to dress up!! That’s why yesterday I chose an option I’m sure most of you know: peplum top over dress.

To be honest the combination is comfortable and chic. But we aware to pick sleeveless dresses and tops in dark colours (otherwise the dress could be seen through the top!). The final touch for and elegant and classy look is the updo.

What do you think ladies?? Have you already worn this option??
Thanks for your comments!!

PD: I’m very late in answering your comments…I’m sorry!! I’ll promise to catch up this week!!

Anna dello Russo for H&M (Save the date!!!!)

Good morning ladies!!

I imagine that at this time of the year most of you already know that next October 4th H&M will launch the new collection that Anna Dello Russo has designed for the fashion brand. The editor-in- chief of Vogue Japan, one of the most eccentric style icons of the blogosphere, is the last “partner” of H&M.

Obviously, the collection is everything but discreet. The golden tone (with splashes of turquoise and coral) dominates in accessories, shoes and clutches. All pieces are excessive and ideal to be seen wherever you go.

Price vary from the 19,90€ of some earrings up to the 249€ for the “dominatrix” boots. As it happened with the last collaboration (Versace for H&M) this new collection  and because in Spain it won’t be available on-line, we’ll have to queue again…!!

Ladies, is there any piece that has caught your eye?
I’m in love with the last two necklaces. Hope to get them!! ;-)

In my opinion the most bizarre piece of the whole collection is this headdress

THESE ARE MY FAVORITE PIECES!!!
